Liposuction Methods

Liposuction is a medical procedure that employs suction to remove fat from specific body areas, such as the abdomen, hips, thighs, arms, and neck.

Liposuction procedures range from minor to extensive. It depends on the affected area of the body and the quantity of fat extracted.

Tumescent

During tumescent liposuction, lidocaine and epinephrine are used to swell the fat, making it easier to identify and remove fat cells. A local anesthetic is injected into the fat pockets to cause them to swell, and a suction device with a cannula is used to extract the fat cells.

The benefit of tumescent liposuction is that there is minimal bleeding and bruising. However, it does not benefit from the most advanced technological development.

Ultrasonic Assistance

Ultrasound employs high-frequency sound waves that can generate a great deal of energy and are focused on fatty tissue to aid in fat cell dissolution.

Ultrasound-assisted liposuction is typically performed on areas with denser fat. Because the fat is liquefied and less likely to cause bruising or bleeding, UAL allows for the safe removal of a greater quantity of fat.

Assisted

Power-assisted liposuction employs a cannula connected to an oscillating handpiece, a well-known body sculpting technique.

Due to the oscillating handpiece’s vibration, dense fatty tissue can be broken down more quickly and easily, resulting in a faster recovery.

Suction Assisted

Assisted lipoplasty is the oldest technique. In this form of liposuction, tiny incisions are made on the surgical site. Through the incisions, a cannula is inserted to suction out the fat cells.

Suction-assisted liposuction has disadvantages as well. It is more difficult to control fat removal and results in more bleeding and bruising than other types of liposuctions. People frequently require multiple treatments to achieve the desired results.

Radio Frequency Assisted

The minimally invasive procedure of radiofrequency-assisted liposuction uses thermal energy to eliminate unwanted fat.

This method uses radio frequency waves to liquefy fat, which is then sucked out of the body via a cannula. Radio frequency simultaneously stimulates the production of collagen beneath the skin.

Liposuction reduces and reshapes specific areas of the body to enhance the patient’s body contours and shapes.

Liposuction is utilized to remove stubborn fat from the abdomen, upper arms, buttocks, calves and ankles, chest and back, hips and thighs, chin and neck.

Additionally, liposuction can be used for breast reduction and gynecomastia treatment.

The number and volume of fat cells increase with weight gain. In addition, liposuction decreases the number of cells in the targeted region. The amount of fat extracted depends on the area’s appearance and fat volume. As long as the weight remains stable, the resulting contour changes are typically permanent.

In general, anyone who is committed to leading a healthy lifestyle, is concerned about sagging skin in the arm and/or armpit, and desires to tighten loose skin is a good candidate.

Occasionally, surgery may be performed as an adjunct to a facelift. There are numerous causes for sagging skin on the neck, but the most significant are:

You have a double chin that makes you appear older, you have excess skin and fat in your neck, you desire a more elegant neck and a defined jawline, your neck has developed wrinkles.

A neck lift is only possible through surgical means. Non-surgical treatments are incapable of producing the same results as a surgical neck lift.

The liposuction procedure can range from a minor to a major operation. It depends on the affected area of the body and the quantity of fat extracted. Even though it is a minor procedure, preparation is necessary to ensure its success. You should plan your recovery time in advance and ensure that you have all of the necessary supplies.

Before performing liposuction, the surgeon draws circles and lines on the areas of your body to be treated. Additionally, photographs can be taken so they can be compared prior to and after the intervention. Liposuction procedures vary depending on the technique employed. Your surgeon will select the appropriate method based on your treatment objectives, the area of your body to be treated, and your prior experience with liposuction.

After four to five days, individuals who have undergone liposuction in Turkey can resume their normal activities. Two weeks later, they can engage in light sports. After three weeks, heavy sports may be practiced with the doctor’s approval. The body attains its final form between 6 and 9 months after conception.

Cellulite is not eliminated by liposuction, but the body is sculpted. In addition, liposuction does not improve physical health because its primary purpose is to enhance physical appearance.
